Tom Keith Awarded the Order of the Palmetto at Retirement Party

In true Tom Keith style, he humbly approached the stage of the Central Energy building in Columbia where South Carolina Senator Katrina Shealy surprised him by announcing that Keith was selected to receive the Order of the Palmetto. The Order of the Palmetto is our state’s highest civilian honor presented in recognition of a lifetime of extraordinary achievement, service, and contributions on a national or statewide scale. Keith was selected to receive the award for his lifetime of service in the Palmetto State which includes the 26 years he spent as President and CEO of Sisters of Charity Foundation

Looking Back on Tom Keith's Leadership

We would need a movie-length video to truly capture the growth that Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina has experienced since its inception in 1996 under Tom Keith’s leadership. In an effort to make sure you don’t run out of popcorn, we captured some major milestones the Foundation has achieved over the last two decades. Watch and learn more about the history of the Foundation, Tom’s impact and the Sister who loves Tom like a son. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gue7Qox4lq4

Thank You, Tom

As Tom steps into retirement, our staff has been taking every opportunity to give thanks. We want to thank Tom for a life of leadership, faith, love and service. Tom’s hard work and dedication have made South Carolina a better place.
