Any organization that is considering submitting an inquiry must be able to answer yes to ALL of the following questions.

1

Does your organization have a clear connection to the Foundation’s mission and values?

2

Has your organization has been fully operating for at least one (1) year?

3

Is your organization a nonprofit (and, if applicable, in good standing with the IRS?)

4

Does your organization adhere to lobbying limits established by the federal government for organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation?

5

Does your organization have multiple sources of revenue?

6

Does your organization align with Together SC’s guiding principles and best practices for nonprofits in South Carolina?

7

Does your organization have partnerships with other nonprofits, businesses, faith-based organizations and/or government entities?

8

Does your organization have a current, detailed operating budget for your current fiscal year?

9

Are the recipients of your organization’s programs/ services in South Carolina?

10

Are ALL of your organizations’ programs open to and accessible to all individuals experiencing poverty who qualify for program services regardless of race, country of origin, religion, or citizenship status?

Does your organization demonstrate a clear understanding of poverty in the community being served?

Is your programming well-informed by the use of research and/or best practice models?

13

Does your organization have clear measurements of success?

14

Do your programs engage the community that is being served?

15

Is your organization committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in both organizational practices and program delivery?

If you answered yes to ALL of these questions, continue the steps to select your grant category and submit an inquiry.

If you answered no to one or more of these questions, your organization is not eligible to submit an inquiry in 2024.
