Thomas C. Keith

President

Thomas Christopher Keith (Tom) is the president of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, a position he has held since March of 1996. Under his leadership, the Foundation has awarded more than $81 million through over 3,100 grants across South Carolina since its inception.

Tom has more than 45 years experience in nonprofit management in 13 states. He also serves on the board of trustees and is current board chair at Columbia College. Additionally, he is a board member at the Columbia Free Medical Clinic, South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, and Healthy Learners. He has been an active member of the Southeastern Council of Foundations since 2002, including serving on the board from 2004 to 2010. He is a founding member and former chairman (1998) of the South Carolina Grantmakers Network. Other notable accolades include induction into Winthrop University’s College of Business Pinnacle Society in 2008 and receiving the leadership award from Clemson University’s Institute for Family and Neighborhood Life in 2009. In 2016, he received a Palmetto State Fatherhood award for his statewide commitment to helping fathers and families.
