Poverty in South Carolina
Poverty is a complex, multifaceted, and systemic issue. We recognize that centering those with lived experience of poverty is critical to best understand poverty and identify potential solutions. In 2024, we commissioned two research studies to learn more about the current state of poverty in South Carolina.
The goal of this research was to illustrate the rich context of the challenges and opportunities that many South Carolinians face every day.
