Tom Keith is the President of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina.

In this position he oversees the operations of the Foundation and assists the Foundation Board of Trustees in setting policies and goals. Mr. Keith is active in establishing partnerships and coalitions with other organizations and community groups.

Mr. Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Marshall University and a master’s in business administration from Winthrop University. He has over 30 years experience in nonprofit management in five states and has served as president of the Foundation since March of 1996.

Mr. Keith also serves as treasurer of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families Board of Trustees as well as on the Board of Trustees for Winthrop University Foundation and FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities). He has been an active member of the Southeastern Council of Foundations since 2000. He is a founding member and former chairman of the South Carolina Grantmakers Network, a group of 40 grantmaking foundations from across the state. 

In 2004, Mr. Keith received the Healthy Learners "In All Things Charity" award and in 2007, was appointed to serve on the South Carolina Access to Justice Commission. He was inducted into the Winthrop University College of Business Pinnacle Society in 2008 and earned the Clemson University Institute for Family and Neighborhood Life Leadership Award in 2009.

In 2013 Mr. Keith, was awarded the Otis A. Corbitt Leadership and Community Service Award for exemplary leadership in Human Services, Community Development and Education.

Mr. Keith also serves as an adjunct instructor on leadership and ethics at Winthrop University School of Business. 

He and his wife, Doris, have two boys, Adam and Matthew. They enjoy traveling, family gatherings and their two dogs, Quincy and Ellie. He also serves as a Sunday school teacher for his church.
