Foundation in the Media Advocating for TANF

May 24, 2010

The Foundation continues to raise awareness on the impact of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding in South Carolina and advocate for TANF reauthorization. In Sunday’s The State newspaper Tom Keith, president of the Foundation, had a guest column published on the welfare crisis and the need for Congress to replenish the TANF Contingency Fund. If you didn’t have an opportunity to read it, visit The State or Foundation’s Web site.

Additionally, Tom Keith and South Carolina Department of Social Services State Director Dr. Kathleen Hayes will be on Your Day radio this Thursday, May 27. Your Day is broadcast statewide from noon-1 p.m. on the following ETV radio stations: WRJA-FM/88.1 (Sumter), WNSC-FM/88.9 (Rock Hill), WLJK-FM/89.1 (Aiken), WJWJ-FM/89.9 (Beaufort), WHMC-FM/90.1 (Conway), WSCI-FM/89.3 (Charleston), WEPR-FM/90.1 (Greenville) and WLTR-FM/91.3 (Columbia).
