Sister Miriam joined the Foundation board in 2003.

Sr. Miriam was elected Congregational Leader of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine (CSA) in July 2001.  As Congregational Leader she coordinates the effort of the three-person Leadership Team that has the primary responsibility to provide spiritual leadership to the Congregation of more than 60 members.  In addition, she serves as the official representative of the Congregation for all external matters.

Sr. Miriam has served in a variety of positions during her many years with the Congregation, and most recently served on staff with St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Lakewood, Ohio.  As a member of the staff at St. Luke Parish, she worked with the elderly, served as a bereavement coordinator, and chaired the Spiritual/Liturgical Life Commission for the parish.  She also re-established the parish's Social Concerns Commission, which formed several outreach programs.  She participated in the Interfaith Hospitality Network for the homeless and assisted the Albanian immigrants in Lakewood.

In addition to her duties as Congregational Leader, Sr. Miriam also serves on several board of directors including the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Health System; Regina Health Center; Providence Hospital Board of Trustees; St. John West Shore Community Board and St. John West Shore Advisory Board.

Sr. Miriam received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Education from St. John College in Cleveland, Ohio.
